Maryland Gov. Wes Moore stated he does not have a “personal beef” with President Donald Trump but emphasized his commitment to addressing policies that affect Maryland residents.
Moore made the comment during a wide-ranging conversation with Baltimore Orioles owner David Rubenstein. The interview was hosted by The Baltimore Banner.
“I don’t have a personal beef with the president of the United States, but if you’re coming after our people, then I’m going to have something to say about it,” Moore said.
Moore added that he works for the people of Maryland.
“So my my thing is I don’t want to work against the president, I want to work for the people, and I’m finding so many of the policies he’s pushing are just deeply contradictory,” Moore said.
