Scots are used to significant upheaval when it comes to store openings and closures. And now, a major retailer has submitted plans to replace a M&S Simply Food unit in Glasgow following its closure at the end of the month.
Sainsbury’s have submitted plans to open a Sainsbury’s Local store at 169 Great George Street, just off Byres Road , in Glasgow’s West End. The store would replace the M&S Simply Food store, set to close at the end of October.
Plans have been submitted for "installation of illuminated and non illuminated fascia signage, panel signage adjacent to the entrance and internal window graphics" in the heart of the popular student area, reports GlasgowWorld .
