Derry SFC final to go ahead as Slaughtneil fail in their challenge against Newbridge defeat

The Derry SFC final between O’Donovan Rossa Magherafelt and Sean O’Leary Newbridge has received the green light to proceed this Sunday after a Slaughtneil appeal was thrown out by the county board on Tuesday night.

Slaughtneil’s semi-final defeat to Newbridge at the weekend was shrouded in late controversy, the losers left unhappy over a couple of decisions by referee Martin McErlane.
