: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday said the government has made significant investment in education by allocating Rs 3,654 crore to the sector alongside grants-in-aid and other support.
Addressing at the inauguration of the Nongkharai Presbyterian Higher Secondary School, Umsohpieng, Chief Minister reflected on Meghalaya’s progress over the past seven and a half years, highlighting the Government’s focus on welfare, infrastructure development and human resource development.
The Chief Minister shared that Meghalaya is now the second fastest-growing economy in the country after Tamil Nadu, with consistent growth averaging 10% per year over the last three years.
