Ben Roethlisberger is calling for his old team to find a new home amid concerns about the playing surface at Acrisure Stadium.
The Steelers defeated the Cleveland Browns 23-9 at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday in a game impacted by sloppy field conditions. There was one instance of Steelers kicker Chris Boswell slipping on a field goal attempt, with quarterback Aaron Rodgers calling the field “borderline unplayable” after the game.
Pittsburgh has played at Acrisure Stadium (previously Heinz Field) since 2001, replacing the legendary Three Rivers Stadium. The Steelers share the venue with the Pittsburgh Panthers football team.
Acrisure Stadium uses the Kentucky bluegrass playing surface.
