The King’s Way Christian boys had a pretty good day last Thursday at Lewis River in a match against La Center.

But Greg Railsback, the program director for the team, didn’t quite understand just how good.

Railsback wasn’t at Lewis River that day. And because of limited cell coverage at Lewis River, the online scoring app wasn’t working.

“So I eventually get a text from one of our coaches, Matt Disbrow, and it says ‘I think we just shot 140,’ ” Railsback said. “And I thought he must have fat-fingered it. He must have meant like 150. … Then he called me and said ‘No! Three kids were under par. We shot 140!’ I mean, that just blew me away. I watch scores of other teams in the paper, and I don’t ever remember seeing a 140 from a Clark County high school team.”
