History comes to life when those long gone can speak through others, and at Bethesda Cemetery on Saturday, stories will be told as guides take visitors through the historic church on the grounds and around various sites to give voice to history.
The Longstreet Museum is organizing the event, scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Museum Director Kelly Ford shared what visitors can expect.
“It’s really to remember the people that are buried at Bethesda Cemetery through images of them and through items we have of theirs and through stories,” Ford said. “We’re relying on descendants who’ve loaned us artifacts and family photo albums as far back as the 1850s, and we’re bringing them to their own graves to tell their stories.”
Admission to the event is $5 and children are admitted free. The
