When my wife, Elsa, and I moved here permanently in 2015, we started a nonprofit, Voterise, to get young Utahns to register and vote.

As such, we wound up attending a myriad of local events. It seemed like this one young man, 30 at the time, was at virtually all of them. We were curious, so we introduced ourselves to the fellow whose name is Diego Zegarra. We got to know him and we like him.

Diego came to Park City 16 years ago and immediately joined the community in a big way. He is a professional community advocate. He has become a leader in the nonprofit sector, and has served on varied local boards and led initiatives in youth, art,and other community projects.

Diego knows our town well, its strong points and its shortcomings.
