Like a bad cold, the "news" about New York Attorney General Latitia James has been passed from person to person over the last day or so.
"Indicted Latitia James is housing 'fugitive' grandniece in her Virginia home," reads a screaming headline from Tuesday's New York Post.
The story involves James, the attorney general who, after authorizing a successful lawsuit against then-citizen Donald Trump's business for fraud, found herself indicted earlier this year by President Trump's Justice Department, and a grandniece named Nakia Thompson.
Thompson, as it turns out, has been living in a three-bedroom house in Norfolk, Virginia, owned by James, when someone - likely political operatives - happened to notice that Thompson has an outstanding arrest warrant for a misdemeanor probation
