It is rich that Pennsylvania General Assembly Republicans are calling on U. S. Senate Democrats to approve a continuing resolution to keep the government operating.
They are seeing it backwards. They should be calling upon Senate Republicans to negotiate with the Democrats so that the cruel provisions of the “Big, Beautiful Bill” that was demanded by the president will be rescinded. That legislation is forecast to strip millions of health insurance and access to food.
Additionally, those who are urging passage of the continuing resolution are part of the gang that has failed to agree to a state budget by the constitutionally-mandated deadline of June 30, something which is causing hardship for individuals and organizations that depend on public funding.
