CLEVELAND, Ohio — Benedictine and Villa Angela-St. Joseph have not played a football game in more than 20 years. They could play twice within the next month, depending on what happens with seeding and matchups for the OHSAA Division III playoffs.

Both are in Region 9, with Benedictine in fifth place and VASJ in seventh. Both also are ranked in the cleveland.com Top 25 ahead of their showdown, scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff, Friday at John Carroll University’s Don Shula Stadium.
