After dropping both games at home, Max Scherzer and the Toronto Blue Jays now trail 0-2 in the ALCS and face a must-win situation as the series shifts to Seattle for Games 3 and 4. Another loss, and their postseason dreams could end in front of the Mariners’ home crowd.

Seattle has looked like the more complete team so far. The Mariners won 10-3 in Game 2, with Julio Rodriguez, Jorge Polanco, and Josh Naylor going deep. The Blue Jays briefly tied it early, but their bullpen couldn’t hold. Toronto’s offense, which had been dominant up until the ALDS, has failed to make an impact through the first two games.

The Blue Jays’ pitching hasn’t helped either. Their relievers have struggled to keep the ball in the park, while Seattle’s lineup has punished mistakes.
