President Donald Trump threatened on Tuesday to relocate World Cup matches from Boston if he feels conditions are “unsafe,” according to multiple news reports.

Trump made the comments in response to a question from a reporter about a recent “street takeover” in Boston and whether he would work with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, a Democrat, according to The Guardian . Police officers were attacked and a police car burned during the incident.

Boston is one of 11 U.S. cities set to host World Cup matches in 2026, along with locations in Canada and Mexico.
