PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Enjoy the crisp October air and sunshine Wednesday as clouds and rain return to the Pacific Northwest later in the week.

Sunny skies will help Portland area temperatures warm into the mid- to upper-60s after a chilly start to the day. This latest round of sunshine is limited as clouds are expected to increase across the region Thursday.

Mostly dry skies will continue Thursday, but clouds will help keep temperatures below the average of 65 degrees. The chance of rain returns by the weekend as another dip in the jet stream moves towards to the Pacific Northwest.
