Missouri football starting safety Marvin Burks Jr., who was ejected for targeting against Alabama , will be available for all of MU’s game at Auburn this upcoming Saturday on the road.
Burks was ejected for targeting in the first quarter of Mizzou’s loss to Alabama last Saturday in Columbia. He made contact with Alabama wide receiver Derek Meadows, and the Crimson Tide player spent several minutes on the turf. Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer later confirmed Meadows sustained a concussion.
Targeting calls, if they occur in the second half, result in a player being required to sit for the first half of their next game.
So, since Burks’ penalty was assessed in the first half of MU’s game over Alabama, he will be available for the Tigers ’ trip to the Plains.
