Law enforcement officials in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey said an investigation is underway after a 2-year-old boy died at a home on Tuesday morning.

According to police, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at a home along Radio Road at about 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday following the report of an unresponsive two-year-old boy.

The child, officials said, was "ultimately pronounced at the scene."

Officials did not immediately provide further identifying details, nor did they provide further information into what may have lead to the child's death.
