SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Part of Corridor G is closed after an accident, according to the South Charleston Police Department.

The accident happened just before the Childress Road exit, police said.

Police said a car was traveling north when it went into the southbound lane.

The car struck a box truck heading south, police said.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, and the driver of the car is in serious condition, according to police.

Police said the driver of the box truck sustained minor injuries.

The southbound lane is shut down, and northbound traffic is down to one lane.
