MOORHEAD (KVRR/KFGO) – An investigation is underway into a fire that caused extensive damage to a south Moorhead mobile home.

Fire crews were called to the 1700 block of 3rd Avenue S. around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday.

“When I arrived on scene, there were flames coming from the side of the house right about where the furnace and water heater area is,” Battalion Chief Matt Brand says.

Firefighters had the fire extinguished within 15 to 20 minutes of the initial call. No one was home at the time. There is no damage estimate.

West Fargo Fire and Moorhead Police are assisting with the investigation.
