The Duquesne Dukes just completed a flawless homestand, going 3-0 while also posting a perfect 2-0 in conference play. Now, the Dukes are faced with a three-game road trip, starting with a journey up Lake Erie to face Mercyhurst on Saturday.

Duquesne head coach Jerry Schmitt has been clear on his team’s philosophy going into the toughest part of their schedule. For his squad, building relationships and trust is essential to team success.

“A lot of times, when you go on the road, you jell as a team,” Schmitt said. “You’re hanging out a lot, whether that’s in hotels or buses.”
