RIVERDALE — A 6-month-old child, Nnakai Pratt, who was reported missing Sunday, Oct. 12 was found dead the night of Tuesday, Oct. 14.

On Monday, Oct. 13, the Clayton County Police Department arrested the father, Antonio Pearce, 38, on unrelated charges and named him as a suspect.

According to jail and court records, on Oct. 13, Pearce was charged with Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act-possession/control/distribution or sale of marijuana, child restraint violation and driving while license suspended or revoked.

On Oct. 14, a false statements charged was added.

Pearce was scheduled for a first appearance hearing Wednesday, Oct. 15 in Clayton County Magistrate Court.
