NORTH HAVEN, CT (WFSB) - Use of force against a man in North Haven who suffered a mental health crisis was justified, according to the state Office of the Inspector General.

Robert Mazurek Jr., 51, of North Haven, was arrested and unharmed during a barricade situation in town in Aug. 2024.

Inspector General Eliot Prescott released his report on Wednesday.

Prescott said that between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Aug. 20, 2024, regional SWAT team members responded to an address on Cloudland Road.

Det. Raymond Wilson from East Haven police, Officer Rocco Morgan from Branford police, and Cpl. Thomas Pacelli from North Branford police fired multiple rounds from their department-issued firearms at Mazurek.
