Ben's Original issued a voluntary recall for some of its rice due to potential contamination of stones in the product, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said.
The small, naturally occurring stones originated from a rice farm, the FDA reported, adding the affected products were distributed by Associated Grocers, C&S, and Dot Foods from August through September.
The agency did not specify which farm.
"The small stones pose possible risk of oral or digestive tract injury if consumed," the FDA said in a notice on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
So far, no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recall, which Ben’s Original announced on Friday, Oct. 10.
