MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. —

A man and woman are facing charges after authorities said items belonging to the North Carolina Department of Transportation were stolen.

Between Sept. 22 and 24, N.C. Department of Transportation (DOT) workers reported to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office that numerous items had been removed from the property including chainsaws, leaf blowers and a Makita hammer drill.

During the investigation Bynum Lee Little Jr., of Nebo, was charged with the following:

2 counts felony breaking and/or entering a motor vehicle and felony larceny.

2 counts felony breaking and/or entering a motor vehicle

3 counts felony larceny

He was given a secured bond of $50,000.

Authorities said video from DOT helped confirm the identity of Little.
