WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) - One person has died and one person is hurt after a shooting Wednesday morning in Waterloo.

Waterloo police officers say the shooting happened about 3:45 a.m. at 3127 Hammond Avenue.

Officers found a man and a woman who had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital. The man died, and the woman is in critical condition.

Waterloo police say there is no threat to the public and ask anyone with information on the shooting to call them.
