NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police say a 7-year-old suffered serious injuries when the stroller carrying them was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run Wednesday morning.

Police said a couple was crossing Goffe Terrace at the crosswalk over Ella T. Grasso Boulevard around 12:26 a.m. when a silver sedan collided with their stroller, which was carrying their two children.

One of the children suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle fled the scene following the collision, police said.
