Bengaluru: In view of the recent surge in bomb threat emails sent to various government and private offices across the city, the Karnataka government has constituted a special investigation team to probe these incidents.

The team, led by Bengaluru North Division DCP B.S. Nemagowda, will handle all cases of bomb threats registered in the city’s western zone police stations.

Speaking to reporters, DCP Nemagowda said that as many as 29 cases related to bomb threats have been registered across 14 police stations in the western zone. All these cases have now been transferred to the Cyber Crime Police Station of the North Division, which will carry out a coordinated investigation through the newly formed special team.
