Mario is setting the record straight after a viral moment from his Big Fresno Fair performance over the weekend had fans and social media criticizing his actions.

The R&B crooner was caught on video abruptly halting his set on Saturday (Oct. 11) to tell a cameraman to “get the f**k off the stage, ni**a.” The clip quickly went viral, with many viewers criticizing Mario for “embarrassing” the videographer with his blunt remark.

In a detailed Instagram Story the following day, Mario explained that much of what people thought about the incident was “misinformed.” He said he was unaware that anyone would be filming his set that day.
