A couple in Bowie, Maryland, says their children's bus route is too dangerous since the school district moved their stop from the end of their street to a busy intersection.

News4 joined the Afoakwah family at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday as they made their way to the bus stop. The sun wasn't out yet as they walked together on the road with their 9-year-old son Frances and 7-year-old daughter Ohemah.

"This is what is looks like when we come outside and then our neighborhood does not have any sidewalks," mother Kimberly Afoakwah said.

Previously, their bus stop was at the end of their street. But this year the Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) moved their stop to an intersection about a half-mile away from their home
