Police Wednesday released images of two vehicles involved in a hit-and-run crash on the south side of downtown Los Angeles that left a pedestrian critically injured.

The crash was reported at about 5:45 a.m. on Oct. 5 at the intersection of Central Avenue and 14th Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The woman was crossing the street at the intersection when she was struck by a dark-colored 2018-2025 Ford Explorer headed south on Central.

“The impact caused the pedestrian to be projected in a southwesterly direction, where she collided with the roadway,” according to a police statement. “While on the ground, she was hit a second time by a blue compact SUV, possibly a 2007-2011 Honda CR-V.”
