Nicki Minaj took to X early Wednesday morning to let her fans, and Jay-Z in particular, know that she is pulling a forthcoming album.

The rapper – who hasn’t released a record with or is known to have signed with Roc Nation, the entertainment conglomerate Jay-Z owns – wrote , for reasons unspecified, that she is “not going to put the album out anymore. No more music. Hope you’re happy now,” tagging Jay-Z’s own X handle to close the surprise announcement. (Minaj’s most recent album, “ Pink Friday 2 ,” was released through Island/Republic.)

On Tuesday, Minaj – who uses X prolifically – reiterated the release date of March 27, 2026 for the new album in a post (and also on Oct. 2 and Sept. 24, the latter of which remained, at press time, pinned to her profile on the site).
