NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Tropical Storm Lorenzo continues to linger in the central Atlantic, but not for too much longer.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Lorenzo is currently located about 1,365-miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands with maximum sustained winds of 40-mph and tropical-storm-force winds that extend outward from the center up to 60-miles.

This tropical storm is moving north-northeast at around 14-mph and is forecasted to take a turn towards the northeast come Wednesday evening at a faster forward speed.

Speaking of Wednesday night, the NHC believes this storm will see "little change in strength" and expects it to ultimately dissipate.

There are no watches and/or warnings currently in effect for this storm.
