ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) - Former Typhoon Halong made landfall overnight into Sunday. Its strongest impacts were felt in the Kuskokwim delta area.

Dozens of people have been rescued, but some still remain unaccounted for.

9:15 a.m. Oct. 15 - Alaska State Troopers release identity of missing Kwigillingok residents

The Alaska State Troopers released the names of the two people who remain missing from Kwigillingok as of 9 a.m. Oct. 15. They are 71-year-old Vernon Pavil and 41-year-old Chester Kashatok.

Anyone who knows of others who are unaccounted for is urged by the AST to contact the State Emergency Operations Center at (907) 428-7100 or the AST at (907) 451-5100.
