Shreveport, La. - On August 31, just after midnight, Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of a shooting at 3384 Bond Street. When officers arrived, they found 17-year-old Cameron Ballentine suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Cameron was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health, where doctors and nurses fought to save him. Despite their efforts, Cameron did not survive.

Detectives with SPD’s Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene that night. Witnesses told police that an unknown individual came from the rear of the residence and opened fire on Cameron before fleeing on foot.

Someone out there knows who did this. His family deserves answers. His community deserves justice.
