India has slipped to the 85th rank in the 2025 Henley Passport Index. The country now offers visa-free access to 57 destinations. Last year, India was ranked 80th, with visa-free access to 62 destinations.
Singapore retained its top position, offering visa-free access to 193 countries. South Korea holds the second spot on the list, allowing entry to 189 nations without a visa, while Japan ranks third, also providing visa-free access to 189 countries.
The fourth spot is shared by Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, and Switzerland, whose passports allow travel to 188 destinations. The fifth rank is shared by Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, and the Netherlands, whose citizens can visit 187 countries without a visa.
