The Nevada Secretary of State’s office has launched a new Indigenous relations webpage designed to strengthen relationships with Tribal nations and provide resources for Native communities across the state, official said in a news release.
Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar announced the launch in honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday, calling it part of the office’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with Nevada’s 28 federally recognized Tribal Nations.
“Our office is committed to moving beyond words and are taking action,” Aguilar said. “Nevada’s Tribes are sovereign nations with deep histories, vibrant cultures and powerful voices across our state.”
