New Delhi: The Indian junior men’s hockey team suffered its first loss in the Sultan of Johor Cup on Wednesday after it went down to Australia 2-4 in a pool game. Skipper Rohit broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute of play while Arshdeep Singh scored another brace for the Indian team in the 60th minute.

After India took a lead in the match, Australia were quick to bounce back with Oscar Sproule scoring a goal in the 39th minute while Andrew Patrick scoring another one in the 40th minute. Sproule came back to haunt India in next two minutes again with a sensational goal while skipper Dylan Downey (51st) was on target for Australia.
