Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha on Wednesday released the party’s candidate list for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. His wife, Snehlata Kushwaha, will contest from Sasaram. The party has been allotted six assembly seats and one Legislative Council seat, although candidates for two constituencies, Bajpatti and Paru, are yet to be announced.

Earlier in the day, Kushwaha met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, after which BJP reportedly assured him of the final allocation. A press note from the BJP’s Bihar unit also confirmed the decision.
