A 73-year-old man in Florida is accused of trying to kill his wife and daughter, allegedly stabbing his 69-year-old wife in the neck and saying he would stab his daughter because he was "tired of everyone suffering" and "trying to get 'em up to heaven."

Allison Hubert Hatton was taken into custody over the weekend and charged with one count each of attempted felony murder, aggravated battery on a person over 65 years of age, and assault with the intent to commit a felony, court records show.

According to a probable cause affidavit, deputies with the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call at about 4 a.m. on Oct. 11, from a residence in the 2700 block of Shadeville Road in Crawfordville, Florida, which is about 15 miles south of Tallahassee.
