WASHINGTON — As the government shutdown drags on, the Capital Area Food Bank is partnering with other nonprofit organizations around the D.C. region to make sure those impacted don't have to make tough economic decision when it comes to food and other necessitates.

Starting the week of Oct. 20 and until the government reopens, additional food distribution sites will offer boxes of shelf-stable pantry items and fresh produce for federal workers and contractors. You will need to show your government work ID to receive food.
