The hacking of in-terminal public messaging systems at Kelowna’s airport has prompted an overall review of security operations at YLW.

But airport officials say people shouldn’t be unduly concerned about the bizarre episode in which Hamas propaganda blared from the public address speakers and was shown on screens that normally display flight information.

“We’re operating normally and we’re running a safe operation,” YLW manager Sam Samaddar said Wednesday in an interview. “In this case, there was no threat to public safety.
