LIVE OAK, Fla. (WFLA) — Two people have been arrested following the death of a 2-year-old child on Monday, according to the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office.
At 3:06 p.m., the sheriff's office said their communications center received a 911 call regarding a child who was unresponsive at a home located in the 22900 block of 128th Path in Live Oak.
The caller reported that CPR was in progress.
Deputies, aided by Suwannee County Fire Rescue, immediately responded, and the child was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
During an investigation, deputies and investigators said they observed injuries to the child that were consistent with prolonged neglect and ongoing physical abuse. They said that the child exhibited significant bruising, swelling, and other physical trauma that
