The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0) is not only helping low- and middle-income families secure homes but also acting as a catalyst for enhanced household spending, especially among women, according to a recent report by SBI Research.
Launched on September 1, 2024, PMAY-U 2.0 provides central assistance to urban families in the EWS (Economically Weaker Section), LIG (Low Income Group), and MIG (Middle Income Group) categories, enabling them to purchase or construct a house.
