SEATTLE — An 88-year-old woman is recovering after being brutally attacked and robbed at her South Seattle home Monday night.
Seattle police say the woman was cleaning items on her back porch in the 9900 block of 64th Avenue South when a stranger approached and demanded her belongings. When she refused, he repeatedly struck her and dragged her into the garage, where the assault continued.
The attacker stole items from the woman and left her seriously injured in the garage. When officers arrived, she told them she thought he was going to kill her.
The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
Seattle police, along with officers from Burien and Tukwila and the King County Sheriff's Office, searched for the suspect but he remains at large. He is descri
