After spending every waking moment next to her daughter Izzy’s side during months of gruelling cancer treatment, they were words that made being a mum all worth it for Kim Miller.

Since five-year-old Izzy was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, she hasn’t had a moment to herself due to endless days of treatments and appointments — often playing nurse more than mum.

But this week, Ms Miller and the rest of the dedicated mothers of this year’s Little Telethon Stars, had the chance to put themselves first for once.

The selfless mums were treated to a makeover day at Claremont Quarter, which included getting their hair and make-up done at Maurice Meade and choosing a whole new outfit from Morrison.
