A father in Idaho accused of killing his adopted daughter and then wrapping her in a pride flag will plead guilty, his lawyer told a Canyon County judge on Tuesday.

Delbert Cornish, 51, has been charged with first-degree murder in the August death of 18-year-old Hope "Onyx" Cornish. Last month, the beleaguered man had a charge of aggravated assault upgraded to assault with intent to commit murder and he was also slapped with an animal cruelty charge, as Law&Crime previously reported .

It is unclear whether Delbert Cornish struck a deal with prosecutors on the murder charge.

On Tuesday, the defendant returned to court, this time with a shaved head. As Delbert Cornish sat, his lawyer rose, telling the presiding judge that "at this time, Mr. Cornish would like to change his plea to guilty,
