LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- The next generation of the Cadillac CT5 will be manufactured at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant, Cadillac announced Wednesday.
Cadillac says the current generation of the CT4 and CT5, including the V-series, will be retired from production after the 2026 model year. The next generation CT5 will begin production at the Lansing plant in a future model year, following a $1.25 billion investment from General Motors.
The next generation CT5 will be a gas engine vehicle, contradicting a previous announcement from the company last year that it planned to convert the Grand River Assembly Plant into an electric vehicle production facility.
