Terry Payne, 70, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on October 15, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah. Terry was born in Cairo, Illinois, to the late Marshall E. Payne and Lorene Shrodes.

A lifelong Kentuckian, Terry retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department after many years of dedicated service. Known to his family as “TT,” Terry was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his world, and he loved nothing more than spending time with them and watching them grow.

Terry found peace in the simple things; he loved sitting outside watching the birds and deer, and he never missed a good storm rolling in. He was an avid fan of Kentucky Wildcat basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals. Terry was always ready to lend a hand
