Improvements at a humane society are coming at a cost for workers. Soon Shelby Humane's building will undergo renovations, but it'll mean they have to vacate most of the building. So, they'll cut their pet population and staff in half.
Shelby Humane's building is going to get a lot cooler. That's because the county is installing a new air conditioning system. It'll mean tearing out all the ceilings and vacating most of their indoor space from November till March.
Leah Eagle, with Shelby Humane, said, “It'll probably be stressful and we'll get to, to find out and figure out things as we go. But, you know, we're grateful to the county for, for getting us a new AC system that's going to make things better and more comfortable for us.”
