FAYETTE COUNTY, Ind. —
A human skull found along the bank of a river in Indiana has led to a shocking discovery.

The remains were reported to the Fayette County Coroner's office, and after a preliminary analysis, including radiocarbon dating, the skull was discovered the be 4,270 years old, dating back to around 2300 B.C.

The coroner's office worked with the University of Indianapolis Human Identification Center and University of Georgia to accurately determine the antiquity of the discovery.
