Route 82 bridge near Sagamore Hills is closed for a month.

The state Route 82 bridge will remain closed in both directions for about a month, Sagamore Hills Township officials announced Oct. 14.

The bridge closed Oct. 14 after a crack was found in one of the pillars, the township said on its website.

The closure is just east of Riverview Road over the Cuyahoga Valley, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The detour for Route 82 west traffic will be state Route 8 south to Interstate 271 south to Interstate 77 north to Route 82.

The detour for Route 82 east traffic will be I-77 south to I-271 north to Route 8 north to Route 82.

The work is part of a $7.7 million project to make repairs to the bridge piers and deck, ODOT said in an advisory posted on Brecksville's website.
